Battery Disclosure

California Battery Disclosure Statement

Rely Innovations, Inc. (“Rely”) provides the following battery information in accordance with California Senate Bill 1215 (SB 1215) and applicable California requirements for covered battery-embedded products.

Covered 10-Year Sealed Batteries

Certain Rely smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms contain sealed, non-user-replaceable 10-year batteries. These batteries are embedded in the alarm and are intended to provide power, or backup power, for the service life specified for the product. They are not intended to be removed or replaced by the consumer.

Battery Chemistry

Lithium manganese dioxide (Li-MnO₂) — This battery chemistry is used in Rely alarms equipped with the applicable sealed 10-year lithium battery.

This disclosure applies to Rely alarm models identified in product specifications, labeling, or instructions as containing a sealed or built-in 10-year lithium battery. It does not apply to Rely alarms that use consumer-replaceable AA, AAA, 9-volt, or other removable batteries.

Recycling and End-of-Life Handling

When a Rely alarm containing a sealed 10-year battery reaches the end of its service life, consumers should not attempt to remove the sealed battery unless specifically instructed by Rely. The alarm and its embedded battery should be handled and recycled in accordance with applicable state and local requirements.

California consumers can obtain additional information about covered battery-embedded products and electronic waste recycling through the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle).

About This Disclosure

This statement is intended to identify the battery chemistry used in applicable Rely covered battery-embedded products for consumer and recycler reference. Product specifications may change over time; where a product’s labeling or instructions identify a different battery chemistry, the product-specific information controls.
